There are several types of companies that can be established in Macau, depending on the business needs. These types are mainly classified according to the Commercial Code and related regulations.

- Shareholder Liability: Shareholders are only liable for debts up to the amount of their capital contribution; their personal assets will not be affected
- Number of Shareholders: Minimum of one shareholder (either a natural person or a legal entity) and a maximum of 30
- Capital Requirement: Minimum registered capital is MOP 25,000, which does not require paid-in capital.
- Shareholder Liability: Shareholders are only liable for the capital contributions corresponding to their shares.
- Number of Shareholders: Minimum of three shareholders, no upper limit.
- Capital Requirement: Minimum registered capital of MOP1 million, with at least 25% (MOP250,000) required to be paid in.
- Legal Status: A non-independent entity established by a foreign enterprise in Macao, lacking legal personality. The parent company bears joint and several liability.
- Capital Requirement: No separate registered capital is required, but financial documents of the parent company must be submitted.
- Business Scope: Must be consistent with the parent company's business scope.
